So far.....

I have already dealt with today:

1. Traveling to work in the snow, while not such an unbelievable feat, is made more difficult by morons who can't seem to grasp the concept. I'm from Florida people, if I can do it so can you!

2. Gas related pain due to a banana....who knew?

3. A phone call from a terminated worker who, even though he was caught smoking pot, feels he was termed unfairly and his ex-boss should watch out or someone "might slit his throat."

4. An insurance company who terms my employees for no reason with no notice and when I ask them why they did it they can't give me a reason.

5. Frantic phone calls from people who want to make their problem my emergency. Sorry people...if you could have avoided it and it is happening to you because of your own stupidity...not my problem.

6. The dread of having to go to "THE" doctor today....UGH!

7. Bad Christmas music. Need I say more?

I have the idiot phone calls too, and mine are college-educated, sometimes multiply so, with specialties thrown in on top for good measure. I have this one doctor who calls, gets screened by the receptionist, who TELLS him "Erica will be right with you," and then when I pick up and say, "Hello, Dr. Choad, this is Erica," he ALWAYS replies with, "Oh, hi Erica" in a tone of voice that implies he was expecting my voice mail and was surprised to get the ACTUAL Erica, or he was expecting someone else altogether. Every time. And then feels compelled to use my name in every sentence, or even between my sentence fragments, which I wouldn't be committing except he interjects my name and MAKES them sentence fragments. As in:

"So what's your boss's cell phone number, Erica?"
"Area code 704"
"Good, Erica"
"555"
"Yes, Erica"
"5555"
"Great, Erica."

KILL HIM NOW!!!!
(Sorry)
(And sorry about your 'nana pains. Surely this too shall pass. hahahahahaha sorry again)

Yeesh. I thought my day was bad. I too have snow to drive through tonight... about 60 miles before I get home. (I won't even comment on the spastic idiots we have on the roads here - with or without snow).

Chances of making it home alive tonight: Pretty well nil.

What part of the country are you in?
